Working on this tip-in page for a friend's 50th birthday. Size is 7X7. She's doing a 50th birthday journal and capturing her year. Hope she like this! This is the ink only version before adding color. I always scan after I do a black and white piece. I try to capture all stages of the design.

This sun bowl is now ready to be glazed. All the underglazes are in place. Once it comes out of the kiln, the colors will brighten up and be shiny.

Photos from our outing to San Juan Bautista.

 Old Adobe Antiques. All the times I've gone to San Juan Bautista, it's NEVER been open. Had to capture the 'Open' sign and open door.

Pages 05/09/11

We finally finished the tiled mirror over the weekend. Last step was to add black caulking around the tiles to weatherproof it. Bob did this step because it required more muscle than I could handle. (Yeah, I'm a wimp.) I was in charge or wiping off the extra gunk and cleaning the tile off. :-)

Now we let it dry, and it will be ready to hang outside. What do you think of the final?
